The portal is open to GIWAS graduating students and alumni who are preparing for or already enrolled in U.S. college study. Awards are need-based and reviewed by the GIWAS financial aid committee.
Meeting these criteria makes an application eligible for review. It does not guarantee an award, and it does not predetermine an amount.

Privacy and care
We collect only what the committee needs to assess need: your academics, your college costs, and your household finances. Income, family hardship, and documents are never displayed publicly.
Documents are stored privately and opened through short-lived secure links.
Only you, your authorized co-signer, and assigned reviewers can see your application.
You can ask us to delete your application. Retention periods are published in the portal.
Pay it forward
At the end of the application we ask whether you might, if you are ever financially able, be willing to help a future GIWAS student. It is entirely voluntary.
A voluntary expression of goodwill. Not a loan, debt, repayment agreement, or legally enforceable obligation — and it never affects eligibility, review scores, or award decisions.
